The inside of our shaving bowl was designed to promote lather creation. The purpose of this specially designed textured bottom is to aid in breaking down the shaving soap or cream, incorporating air into the lather, and evenly distributing it across the bristles of the shaving brush. WTF Shaving Bowls
We wanted to reach out to provide some important information regarding the care and usage of your new shaving bowl. While PLA filament is a fantastic material for many applications due to its eco-friendliness and durability, it does have certain limitations when it comes to heat resistance.
It's crucial to avoid using hot water when lathering or cleaning your WTF shaving bowl. PLA has a lower melting point compared to materials like ceramic or metal, and exposure to high temperatures, such as hot water, can cause the bowl to deform or lose its shape over time.
To ensure the longevity and performance of your shaving bowl, we recommend using warm or lukewarm water for lathering and cleaning purposes. This will still provide you with a comfortable shaving experience while protecting the integrity of the PLA material.
Additionally, please avoid placing your WTF shaving bowl in the microwave or dishwasher and using abrasive cleaning products, they will damage the surface.
These are printed as needed they take from 3 - 7 hours depending on the options so please understand it could add an extra day or two before they are sent out for shipping.
